I have to say that Summer Slam was an awesome pay-per-view! I am going to give my thoughts on each match.

Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio: A fun, high paced match. Both these guys are really talented in their own way. Kurt has his speed and great wrestling skills. And Rey has his high-flying, jaw dropping moves. This match had some spectacular stunts! A great way to start off the show!

Y2J vs. Rick Flair: I think Rick Flair is a waist of a perfectly good wrestler! Chris Jericho could have been used for something else! His band Fozzy could have performed or maybe he could have faced Jeff Hardy! Instead he faced Rick Flair! How many times can a person get slapped and still have it mean something? This match killed the crowd's buzz from Kurt and Rey.

Edge vs. Eddy Guerrero: It was not a hard task to top that last match! Lucky for us Edge and Eddy are overachievers. Edge vs. Eddy was a great match indeed. These guys really can wrestle. Edge and Eddy mesh very well together. Eddy hit some sick moves and was viscous with his attack on Edge's arm. Edge played the arm injury very well. The match's ending was perfectly done.

Un-Americans vs. The Book and G-Dust: A solid tag match! The crowd was really into the USA chant. My highlight was the spin-a-rooni.

RVD vs. Chris Benoit: This was an excellent match! Benoit was masterful in dominating RVD. RVD can sell any move or injury. These two guys put on a wrestling clinic. RVD came out of nowhere with great counters and picked up a well deserved victory.

Undertaker vs. Test: This match was very good as well. It was like watching a couple of bulls butt heads. It was great to see the tombstone again. Plus the image of the Undertaker draped in Old Glory was memorable.

Shawn Michaels vs. HHH: Sweet Jesus what a match! This match had stuff that I thought was only possible in videogames. Shawn put on one of the greatest performances I have ever seen! HHH played the role of the sadistic heel perfectly. This match had emotion and great stunts. The fans were so pumped, it was great! This was one of my all time favorite matches! One of those matches that almost makes you forget that wrestling is fake. It got a little gimmicky at the end (nice Dr. jacket).

Brock vs. Rock: Another main event that delivered! Not as good as it was built up to be, but a good effort on both parts. It's always amazing to see the Rock get booed. Paul Heyman did a great job being pesky. An incredible finishing combo! And what's this, the Rock looses! This is about as fair as you will ever see the Rock loose. Incredible way to end an incredible show!
